Year 2 Melting Icebergs
Our year 2 scientists have been investigating the reversible and irreversible changes in states of matter this term; looking at what happens when we freeze water and how we can melt ice.
Continuing with our Iceberg Ahead project the children had the task of rescuing small animals from ice. Our scientists worked through the process of writing out their method, equipment and prediction for their experiment, before carrying out the test and recording their results.
The children were all engaged in the investigation to see if warm water or salt would melt the icebergs the quickest.
