World Poetry Day
On Thursday 6th October local author James Tearle came to Heronshaw to share his lovely story Croca Digga Dogga Dile he has written and illustrated all about his dog Sid!
This beautifully written tale features plenty of rhyme as it tells of how Sid the rescue dog was taken in by James and his family, slowly teaching and guiding him the ways of how to be a family dog.
The children across year 1 and year 2 were treated to a cosy story time where they all discussed their different pets and how they are part of their families. Children were encouraged to explore writing their own rhymes to make a book about their lovable pets and even took home some colouring sheets from the story.
