The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration!
As the day dawned on the 26th May the Heronshaw staff decked head to toe in red white and blue were busy as bees. They were creating an environment fit for the Queen, hanging bunting, balloons and union jacks around the school playground. Families descended at school armed with the most exquisite entries to the baking contest and shortly after 11:30 more families arrived with blanket and picnics. The children then joined their families on the playground to sing the queens favourite song, Sing by Gary Barlow and the National Anthem. B&S DISCOS played a ranged of music through the ages to entertain us all. Families, teachers, and children danced along! With bake off competitions and cake auctions, we had the most amazing day! Finally we topped the day of with tasty treats from our cake stand and the ice-cream van.
