Mr Finch guitar assembly
To expand our love of music here at Heronshaw we have the exciting opportunity for children to enjoy a variety of clubs as part of our music provision.
On 8th September we were fortunate to have Mr Finch, from Strum–into–Music, came along to demonstrate to our keen musicians the wonder of playing an acoustic and electric guitar.
The interactive assembly was a lovely opportunity for children to experience a popular instrument from some of their favourite bands.
Mr Finch played a rendition of Watermelon Sugar High by Harry Styles as well as Green, Green Grass by George Ezra. The whole assembly hall was alive with singing, dancing and clapping – demonstrating the true joy that can be spread through listening and playing instruments.
Children were then given the opportunity to sign up with Mr Finch for lessons starting at Heronshaw w/b 26th September.
If your child is still interested in guitar lessons with Mr Finch and hasn’t yet signed up please speak with Mrs. Calder or the school office. Please note at the moment lessons are only available for children in KS1. However, after Autumn term we hope to open this opportunity to Foundation too.
