On Monday 24th April, Heronshaw school took part in  a ‘celebration day’. This was off of the back of Eid celebrations which took place the Friday before.

Children and staff were asked to come in their celebration clothes- everyone looked fantastic!

We had a lovely assembly led by Mrs Begum, all about Eid- what it means and how it is celebrated. She brought in some special items that her family uses around the time of Eid. Children also got to share their own celebration traditions.

At the end of the assembly, everyone had the opportunity to dance to music that would be typically played at an Eid celebration. Everyone got involved and had lots of fun!
