At Heronshaw school we are committed to enabling all children to achieve the very best possible educational and personal outcomes and we recognise that some families may have barriers to overcome.
We aim to work with our families and promote a whole school approach to enhancing the health and well-being of pupils and families so that children are able to access and benefit from the educational activities on offer.
We also aim to promote well-being and develop resilience through the curriculum and create links with the local community.
We believe that parents and carers play a vital role in partnership with us to support their children’s education and we therefore look to foster positive relationships with our families.
Mrs. Bridget Nicholls is our pastoral lead and she is the first port of call for families who need support or who are struggling in any way. She works closely with other staff to offer tailored support. Her role is to identify and support families and children and work to alleviate barriers to learning. She is the key link person for any families suffering with a period of challenge whether this is long or short term. She is based in ‘The Burrow.’

Mrs Nicholls is usually on the playground at the start of the school day and can be contacted on the main school number or emailed on bnicholls@heronshawschool.co.uk
