A Week in Foundation
Foundation have enjoyed and been very engaged in their learning this week.
Our loose themes this week have been around love, to celebrate Valentines Day. As well as, Penguins and their habitat.
The children have loved learning about where penguins come from and what they eat. We found out lots of fun facts including that emperor penguins are 114cm tall. Some of the children helped Mrs Batey to draw a life size picture of a penguin for our display.
The children have enjoyed making different music, creating boats, writing Valentines Day cards and creating love cakes in the mud kitchen. 
In Maths we have been learning about measurement and comparing whether things are taller and shorter than another. Some children explored drawing around themselves with chalk, to measure and compare against their friends.
