A Right Royal Knees Up

On Friday 5th May the children of Heronshaw School came together to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III by arriving to school in their finery; red, white and blue.

After a royal celebration assembly, which saw our children march and showcase their outfits and handmade crowns, everyone enjoyed a morning of crafts and cake decorating to celebrate before the afternoon concert.

Waving their flags after lunch, the children marched their way onto the playground to rapturous applause from a fantastic audience and wowed us all with their beautiful voices as they sang Street Party, Coronation Day and Trooping the Colour for his majesty the King.

Thank you to all parents that were able to brave the rain and share with us a lovely afternoon tea, fit for a King.

Watch this space with one more coronation treat, especially for those who were not able to join us on the 5th May.
