A great start for Year 2
The year 2 children have settled into their new routines and are becoming more independent with the routines of the day. In English they have been working on the text George and the Dragon. They had great fun creating their dragons and making caves.
They have also been keeping fit with our new P.E teacher, Mr Grice who has been teaching them multi-skills. Please do remember to wear P.E kits on a Tuesday and a Friday!
The children have been working hard on their phonics and reading. This will be a big focus this term as we have the upcoming phonic screening checks in the second half of the Autumn term.
All in all, it has been a great start to the new school year and it has been lovely to get to know the new children in our classes. We look forward to the journey we will be walking together this year.
