As part of our English curriculum, in the second half of the Spring term, children in Year 2 will be learning all they need for how to write their very own adventure narrative. The book we have chosen as our inspiration for our work is “Pirates Love Underpants”.  

To inspire the children and hook them into their learning we are kick starting the half term with a Pirate themed day! This experience day will be on: Tuesday 22nd February 2022 

On this day children are invited to come to school dressed as a pirate. We shall be experiencing some fun, buccaneering pirate activities on the day, whilst exploring some of our favourite stories all about Pirates.  

If children would like to bring their favourite pirate book from home to share with others, they are very welcome to do so. We would ask that these books are labelled with the child’s name and class.
