Welcome back! The children have had a brilliant first week at school. They have enjoyed exploring their new environment and all the different activities and challenges on offer. On Tuesday they experienced the solar system during a visit from a planetarium, which filled their imaginations with awe and wonder. Most had their first session with Junior Jam, where we learnt to play keyboards. This was exciting and inspiring. The children are settling in well to their new classes and were happy to be back with their friends and getting to know their new teachers. Year 1 is a really busy year packed with projects, plays, trips and many exciting learning experiences along the way.

We would like to invite you to a Year 1 information evening on Monday 3rd October 2022 at 5:30pm. The meeting will last approximately an hour. During the meeting we will share some of the key knowledge and skills your child will be learning throughout the year. At Heronshaw school we value your partnership as together we believe we can make an even greater impact on your child’s learning.
