Our new sports pitch
Over the summer holiday weinvested over £13,000 in our new all weather sports pitch. In the main playground the wooden train has been replaced with a traverse climbing wall, creating a physical barrier between the playground and the sport area.
The children have already started using the new sports pitch as part of their PE (physical education) lessons. It is fantastic to have a dedicated area for our teaching of sport.
Over the coming months the PTA (parent teacher association) along with school staff will look at ways to generate more funding. Our plan in to transform more of the playground to incorporate climbing equipment, trim trails, more green space and areas for children to explore their creativity. It is an exciting time ahead – we hope that all of our school community will support us in making this a reality.
